Explore the magic of clay in our Introduction to clay workshop, perfect for beginners! This hands-on workshop is a great way to learn the basics of pottery.
We’ll start with a simple introduction to how pottery works and guide you through the steps, from shaping the clay to finishing your piece. You’ll learn fun hand-building techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab-building.
Note: This workshop focuses on hand-building and does not include the pottery wheel.
Details
This is a relaxed, creative experience where you can shape, mold, and design your own pottery with your hands. It’s a perfect way to try something new and enjoy the process of making art with clay.
In this session you can make things like mug, bowl, platter, name plate, planter or wind chime etc.
Collecting your piece –
After your workshop, you’re welcome to take your unfired (wet) pieces home — at no extra cost. These pieces can be painted or displayed as decorative keepsakes, but please note:
they are not waterproof or food-safe, and should not be used functionally.
If you’d like your pieces to be glazed and professionally fired, we offer that at an additional cost of ₹500 per piece.
Glazed pieces are food-safe, water-resistant, perfect for long-term use or gifting.
– Glazed pieces will be ready for collection after 7 days
– If you’re unable to pick them from us, we can ship anywhere within India for ₹300 per piece.

The session begins with a brief introduction where our instructors will explain the basics of the pottery wheel and demonstrate how to use it. You’ll learn how to center the clay, shape it, and create beautiful forms on the wheel.
Once the demonstration is complete, it’s your turn! Each participant will have their own wheel to work on, giving you plenty of time to practice and create your own pottery pieces. Don’t worry if you’re new to this—the instructors will be by your side throughout the session, offering guidance, tips, and support whenever needed.

Working on the pottery wheel is a skill which requires a lot of practice, but still as a beginner it will be fun experience for you and you will get the basics. With the instructor’s help you will be able to make some small shapes like mugs and bowls.

Collecting your piece – After the workshop you can collect your piece from the studio, we will pack it for you. This piece will not be food safe and can not be used as a functional pottery. If you are not able to collect it, we can also ship it your address anywhere in India with extra charges.

This is a pottery wheel workshop for kids and parents. Discover the joy of working with the clay under the guidance of able instructors to create beautiful pottery pieces. Kids would love to get their hands dirty, feeling and playing with the clay. The objective of this workshop is to create something interesting while having fun and enjoying the process of learning.

In this workshop participants will be explained how to work on pottery wheel and make pots on it. After the introduction each participant gets a wheel to work and instructors will be there to help and guide. During the workshop participants will be able to make simple shapes like mugs and bowls, more than making pieces this workshop is focused on experience.
Instructors will be there throughout to help and guide. All materials will be provided.
Collecting your piece – After the workshop you can take your wet pieces, there are no extra charges for it. You can take them carefully, colour them and put as decor piece. But these piece can not be used as a functional pottery and it dissolve in the water.
If you want these pieces to be glazed there will be extra charges of 500/pc. These pieces can be collected after 7 days from the studio.
If you are not able to collect it, we can ship it your address anywhere in India with extra charges of 300/pc.
