Monsoon Residency Program for Artists and Creatives

We are pleased to invite applications for the Monsoon Artist Residency Program at Dharamkot Studio, located in the peaceful Himalayan mountains. This residency offers artists and creatives across all fields an opportunity to focus on their practice in an inspiring, secluded environment.
Screen Printing on Clay with Helene Søs Schjødt
Dates: 20-25 September 2025 | Level: Intermediate/Advanced
The art of silkscreen printing on clay led by Danish ceramicist Helene Søs Schjødt is a unique blend of art and craft . In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the fascinating process of silkscreen printing on clay—an exciting technique that blends printmaking with ceramics.
Conscious Clay: Intuitive Ways to Creativity
Dates– 7 – 12 Nov, 2025 | Level: Intermediate/Advanced
This workshop is designed to be a crash course in clay and creativity! The workshop alternates between demonstrations and modules that help explore the nature of clay as a material, and free-wheeling exercises that jump straight to individual creative expression.

Pottery Retreats & Workshops: New Dates Announced
Reconnect with the earth and yourself. Our upcoming retreats offer experiences in the peaceful landscapes of Dharamkot, designed to nourish both skill and spirit.
From daily workshops at our Studio-2 that hone specific techniques to extended retreats fostering deep creative growth, our programs are tailored to inspire.

New ways with clay with Riyaz and Elodie
Refine your skills under the guidance of two gurus, exploring the delicate balance between artistic expression and functional design. The workshop includes making sculptures, using various hand-building techniques and other creative tools (such as 2D tracing and collage) and learning how to reflect and apply creative thinking.

In conversation with Jakub Biewald: Artist Spotlight
Last year, Jakub Biewald graced our studio, leaving behind sculptures that defy simple description. His work, a dialogue between form and void, invites contemplation beyond the tangible.
Jakub’s stay not only enriched our studio with physical works but also left an indelible mark on our creative ethos.

Introducing this year’s RESIDENT ARTISTS
1. Nadine : Ceramicist / UK. We are delighted to welcome Nadine Kayser, a British-Swiss ceramicist whose practice merges clay, spirituality, and meditation.
2. Isabel : British / GermanCeramic Artist. We are thrilled to welcome Izzy Kennedy, a Berlin-based ceramic artist and founder of Fishy. Ceramics.
3. Irina : Ceramic Artist / Russia. We are excited to welcome Irina Lapenko, a Russian ceramic artist whose work explores the rhythmic structures of nature, ancestral memory, and the interconnectedness of human experience.
4. Hanna : Researcher & Art Curator / UK. We are honored to welcome Hanna Laura Kaljo, an Estonian curator and writer whose practice weaves together exhibition-making, research, and embodied knowledge.
5. Kaleb Wei Cheng : Ceramic artists & Graphic designer / Singapore. We are excited to welcome Kaleb Loh Wei Cheng, a Singaporean ceramicist and the creative force behind Stillwares.
6. Karine: Ceramic. We are delighted to welcome Karine Lanny, a French sculptor and designer, founder of Monochromic.
7. Meghna Polimera: Artist / USA. We are thrilled to welcome Meghna Polimera, a self-taught ceramic artist whose work bridges the rich traditions of Indian folk and tribal art with contemporary ceramic forms.
