About the workshop

The Open Clay Session is a relaxed self-guided clay experience where you are given clay, tools, and studio space to explore freely at your own pace.

This is not a structured workshop or guided pottery class. The session is designed as an open creative space where you can spend time with clay intuitively — shaping, experimenting, pausing, and beginning again without pressure or expectations.

Basic assistance is available if needed, but the focus of the session is independent exploration and the simple experience of working with clay by hand.

Who is this for

This session is ideal for those who prefer a more independent and self-paced experience. It works well for people who enjoy exploring on their own, want a quiet break from structured activities, or are simply curious to try working with clay without being taught step-by-step.

Taking Your Piece Home

This session is designed around the experience of working with clay, rather than creating finished pieces to take home.

The forms you make during the session are not taken forward for firing, so you will not be able to take anything home after the workshop. The focus is on exploring, experimenting, and simply enjoying the process of making with your hands.
